I just got done reading a blog by a U Conn media person with the New Haven Register.

The discussion reminded me of the many discussions we use to have about who gets what bowl. Obviously, if either team wins this weekend they are going BCS bowling. But the discussion was interesting on how the rest of the Big East tie-ins would sort themselves out. Anyway, I thought you guys would find his information to be interesting. Here is the link U Conn Blogger.

Hey Geek, what are the tie-ins for the Big East. Is the Gator Bowl not part of the picture or is Notre Dame going there this year. If anyone at UConn believes that guy who said they aren't considering how well a team travels then they haven't had a very good education in NCAA football. (or corporate football as it should be called). This is all important info, 'cause if we slip against UConn, these bowl reps will probably be in attendance for our season finale against Pitt.

The Gator bowl has a 2 and 2 tie in with the big east/big 12 vs ACC (started last year). ND can take the Big east slot. Since they took WVU last year they can only choose big east/nd one more time in the next 3 years and since ND is not a factor THIS YEAR, it's highly likely they'll choose a big 12 school this year.
