    Another week, another heartburn-inspiring victory.

Hey, if it works for LSU...

This makes two weeks in a row that West Virginia's solid general play has offset bad mistakes. But really, that's not a bad thing. The vast majority of teams don't survive turning over the ball in their own territory twice like that.

In other news, Oklahoma trails Texas Tech by 21 points in the fourth quarter. So we should be rooting for Oklahoma to win the Big 12 Championship.

Of course WVU shouldn't be penalized for playing poorly and winning the last two weeks. Especially against a quality opponent on the road like Cincinnati. The defensive play was teriffic. The line got pressure with three, they stuffed the run, and though the secondary gave up some plays, they were usually when Mauck created something from a scramble and they absolutely were playing very physical. They were pretty good offensively, as they moved the ball well, but a couple of mistakes stalled moving drives that cost them points as well as the careless turnovers by White. White is clearly worthy of mentioning in the Heisman race, but his turnovers the past two weeks have diminished his other accomplishments somewhat. I'm pleased to come out of Cincinnati w/ a win, but if they play with these mistakes against a Kansas, LSU or Ohio State, then they get blown out.
