    Marquette 75 WVU 53

The guys played hard but depth once again becomes a factor. Da was out for most of the second half in fact giving us only 1:30 in playing time. He needs to be on the floor as was evidenced by his performance in the first half. Tough loss. On to the Herd in Chucktown.

Additionally, we again did not show up on the boards giving up many 2nd chance opportunities. Bryant finally played like a freshman turning the ball over 3 time in the first 4 minutes and shooting some terrible shots in his limited time on the floor. Butler wasn't the only one committing fouls and Marquette made us pay dearly from the free throw line outscoring us by 18 in that facet. I do expect that toward the end of the season, this group will be playing much better, but I'm not sure if it will be in time to qualify for the NCAA's.

Uconn beat us inside, Marquette beat us outside. James is the real deal. Our strength lies somewhere in between. We need everybody playing with their A game in the Big East or were going to see a bunch of games like this. I have faith but they have to continue to improve.
