Pat White (He is pretty good.) WVU 35 Ville 21

So what did our QB do on Saturday? He broke Big East record previously held by D. McNabb, the "touchdowns involved in" statistic. He broke the national rushing yardage record for a QB. Simply stated he is the greatest running QB ever!!! He became the first QB in WVU history to be a part of 40 wins. He is simply the best ever!!! I am not sure that expresses enough just how special his career in the Gold and Blue has been. This writer is in complete awe. Ole number 5 better never be worn by another at WVU. Oh and yes we won today. Pat White just was part of 5 TDs 3 rushing and 2 passing. He only rushed for 200 yards on 21 carries. The team accounted for 498 yards of total offense, with contributions from the usual suspects Noel, Jocke, and Darell. The defense again was opportunistic forcing 4 turnovers. The kickoff team didn't give up any TD's (pretty low standard but it is improvement.) Still plenty of room to grow as a team but a good win.

With sPitt's loss to Cincy, Cincy must only beat Syracuse to get the BCS Bowl nod. The Cuse did give the Big East a bit of a boost by defeating the Irish. Notre Dame would need to beat USC at USC to get to 7 wins thus the BIG EAST will get the nod to the Gator Bowl.

But alas none of that really matters because as Pat was quoted as saying today, "I am not done yet!" You see this team from 79 miles north of Morgantown needs a come-upins from WVU. And Pat would like nothing more than to deliver another Heinz Field surprise. That is right EER fans we are embarking on the Back Yard Brawl on Friday at High Noon. Pat White is going to show up, let us be sure that we do too.

I'll drink to that. Pat IS the best rushing QB ever...no argument!

But I must say, you along with many others have the score wrong. I saw WV put up 42 points. It's beyond comprehension how the officials saw it any other way.

Let's see. The entire upper half of Jarrett Brown is in the end zone but you can't determine if the ball crossed the plane? Well Mr. Official, that would make you a complete idiot!

Best rushing QB in Div. I and Best overall QB in Big East history.

And opportunistic is a friendly adjective. They gave up over 400 yards. Thankfully they still had Kragthorpe and Cantwell running the show. Stewart took the cowards way out on special teams. By kicking high, short kicks, the return yardage wasn't a problem, but the starting field position was abysmal. If we give Pitt the ball at the 40 yardline on every kickoff on that terrible field, we could be in for a long night. And regardless of the fact that we were robbed of a TD at the half, our red zone offense was not very effective and that will be needed more next week on a very poor field. It's ridiculous that the NCAA and the NFL (and Pennsylvania's high school athletic management) let teams continually play on a field that awful.
