Will Thomas to transfer to WV State

  • West Virginia University guard Will Thomas has found a new home.
  • Right here in the Kanawha Valley.

According to Mountaineer coach Bob Huggins, Thomas, a 6-foot-5 junior, is transferring after summer school classes are completed to West Virginia State to play for coach Bryan Poore.

Thomas played in 23 games last season for WVU (3.1 minute average) with a .1 per game scoring average. The 215-pound point guard is from East Cleveland, Ohio.

A week ago it was revealed ex-Mountaineer Dee Proby had landed at NAIA power Oklahoma City University. wvGazette

Well there is the "spot" on the roster that needed to be "freed" up for our overloaded scholarships. I don't know how that factors into Truck or Jo Maz's situations but it makes it more interesting.
