- It looks as if we will retain Jeff Castille but will lose some key components to the staff. I am sorry to see them go. I really hoped we would keep Mike Barwis and CM. Oh well, I guess we will just have to reload.
- Coach Stew is making another run at Josh Jenkins. I don't know if he can be successful but it would be a bit of a recruiting coup if we could bring him back into the mix. I think that our chances would be better if we brought back our surely ole line coach from FSU.
- The best thing we have going for us on many fronts from a coach-recruiting perspective is the fact that they will get to coach a winner next fall. It appears that we will have Pat White back for sure and likely we will have Super Steve and DR. That is a lot of talent and leadership to attract some coaching talent.
- I would ask my usual suspects to post their respective polls to my email address by mid day tomorrow.

The wholesale loss of the staff is very disheartening. The ability to retain some of these people must have been one of the rationales in hiring Stewart. But now, we're left with less than zero--- if we'd brought in a new coach, that person could bring in his own staff.
My discomfort with this situation is mitigated somewhat by the fact that Stewart obviously has a nose for coaching talent, having given Mike Tomlin his first job. But clearly this has to be considered another major victory for Fraudriguez.
The administration better well make a splash hiring some top notch coordinators considering all the money they saved on Stewart's small contract. If our whole coaching staff was poached by Michigan, we can't limit ourselves from paying big dollars to steal someone else's coaches. We must play the same dirty game.
Can we get Trickett back? Can we attract coordinators from other BCS-conference teams to come over in a lateral move?
It's my opinion that if there isn't some proven talent, drawn in from a NATIONAL hiring pool, then the continued employment of Pastilong and his associates needs to be reconsidered. We cannot let the loss of the staff move us backwards. As DaGeek said, we need to "reload", but we're running a real risk of rebuilding instead of reloading.
