Where are we going Bowling?
Frankly, I'm not feeling too confident about USF this weekend. We've been picked apart at times and we can't stop the rush up the middle. USF likes to dink and dunk passes which means our defense actually matches up well. Unfortunately, so does their defense. I fully expect turnovers/not so special teams to be the key to the game.
I'm guessing a win puts us in the Meinke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte. Does a loss put us in the International Bowl in Toronto? At least we know where to go for beer in Charlotte.
The purpose of this blog is to discuss West Virginia University sports. An emphasis will be on Football and Basketball. Related topics will include BIG 12 issues, the NCAA polls, and any related issues which will impact WVU sports. I wish to offer this page to you the reader for comment and look forward to debating my posts.

Would a UConn win over Pitt combined with a win vs. USF still leave us a shot at the Sun Bowl? Our defense matches up relatively well, but I expect their offense will complete those passes and it will be up to us to our secondary to continue to tackle well, because coverage really hasn't been all that great. I'm personally hoping to get to go see Pat White's final game in Charlotte and all the beer I need will be in the parking lot for the tailgate.
All I want is an matchup from one of the BCS conferences. Give Pat White a chance to notch up one more memorable win on his way out. And avoid risking the agony of losing to a C-USA or MAC team in a bowl.
The furthest WVU falls is Charlotte. It is economics not records which will determine this. WVU travels the rest of the Big East with exception of Louisville doesn't. So Sun is still a possibility if within a win of Pitt but unlikely. The Bids likely will come on Friday ironically. So it may not make a bit of a difference. BCS to Cincy. Toronto Bowl to bottom of conference. St. Pete likely to an eligible South Fla. Papa Johns to what ever is left after Charlotte/Sun all three of which are against BCS conference teams (Sun vs. Pac 10; Charlotte vs. ACC; and Papa Johns vs. SEC). Pecking order is a little more complex than that but I will stake my Nostradamus skills on the lowest bowl WVU plays in is the Charlotte Bowl.
