With our performance last night against Villanova, it's looking like another NIT visit. That was a must win game. We still lack a good road win and haven't proven worthy of making the tournament. With our 5 remaining games, we'll probably end up with 21 wins and a first round matchup with the likes of Syracuse, Pitt, or Villanova in the Big East tourney. An early exit there and we have no chance of making the dance.
When does spring football start?!

If we can beat Pitt, and then beat them again in the Big East tourney, we might have a chance of meeting them a fourth time in the NIT. So on the bright side- there's a chance we can go 3-1 against Pitt this year. That would be decent consolation.
The way we looked against Villanova, it's probably just as likely we could go 0-4 against Pitt. One thing is for sure... we won't get a shot at Michigan in the NIT.
